Well that was possibly the loudest gig I've ever been to, Mogwai a few years ago were extremely loud in parts but this was a countinous onslaught on my ear drums, (you're not meant to feel your ear drums vibrate + hear distorted clapping after songs!!!) so after a couple of songs moved further back, feel justified in doing so though as other people i went with are still hearing ringing in their ears! Anyway, the band was The Raconteurs, the venue, Rock City, a heaving Rock City infact + they didnt dissapoint. Was unsure how a band who had only produced 1 30min album were gonna fill out a healine set + they did it by choosing a few quality covers the highlight being Love's "A House Is Not a Motel". Was also great to see Jack White in such a small venue campared to what he plays with The White Stripes. Below are couple of (poor quality) pics i took.....
